Low Wormwood, the pioneer of Chinese folk rock bands. The band comes from Lanzhou, the shrine of folk culture, and has traveled all over Eurasia. It has been active in frontline activities and has become the hard core of all kinds of major mainstream festivals since it was founded in 2003. The current permanente members are: lead vocalist/Liu Kun; guitarist/Zhou Xudong; bass player/Xi Bin; drummer/Wen Feng, guitarist/Guo Yang, bandoneon player/Guo Ge.

In the past two decades, the band has released 3 EPs and nine albums. Its poetic language inscribe humanistic melodies. Apart from regular annual tours, the band has been touring with a full 11-member unit called “the Low wormwood big band”since 2020, which has been a successful model for Chinese band performers from orchestration, stage design, makeup to costume.
